-> Imperials, Arranged by Year
10/28/02
Attached are photos of the 60 T&C 9 passenger station wagon with DUAL AIR that I bought last summer. This is one of 12 known to exist according to Chris Hawkins. This one has been sitting in the woods for many years and would be a major restoration project. Surprisingly enough, the body is more solid than some of my Imperials were.
Restorable? By the right person yes. Easy? NO. It would need EVERYTHING!. Cost? Beats me, Depends on if you do the work or pay someone to do it. Look at Chris Hawkins magnificent restoration and decide if this one is worth the effort.
I would probably be interested in doing the body work and possibly the mechanical work if someone wanted a package deal. It would be time and material though. Too many unknowns for it to be fixed priced.

All four tires are flat and the brakes locked. Was a bear to load and unload. The blue car next to it is a 50 Imperial parts car.
Small tear in front bumper just to right of where the bungee cord attached. Also small problem in upper left corner of the grill. Rest of the grill looks perfect.
Radiator and AC Condenser are gone. Fan shroud is laying on top of motor. Haven't tried to turn the motor but I'd expect it to be stuck.
Dirvers door doesn't want to close. Other doors are stuck closed.
Interior is pretty sad
tailgate has a few problems and the back glass is missing.
Don't know what these seats are from. Don't think they are from this car. See the DUAL AIR unit??
Some dents and rot on the tailgate. Rear bumper is bent right in the middle. Fortunately it would be behind the tag.
The gas tank and floor over it have been cut out. The rear facing seat is folded down as is the back seat. Obviously the upholstery will need a complete restoration.
Windshield is shot but in place. All side glass is good.
Interior. trim is from lower rocker
Rear seat area. The seats are folded down.
Cancer at bottom of rear quarters. Nothing major.
Still an awesome old gal.
This car will be sold as it to the highest bidder. If someone from the Imperial club doesn't want it, she will go to Ebay.
